This book contains twenty-nine units, each of which contains two brief dialogues, a vocabulary to the dialogues, and a supplementary word list. The supplementary word list, taken as a whole, forms a short classified vocabulary. Because this book is intended chiefly for those who already have some knowledge of Putonghua, grammatical explanations have been confined to occasional brief notes.
